Art Prize 2011
Hello everyone.
We have now begun the 2011 Art Prize competition. In the last three years it has become the biggest, art award competition in America. In my many long years of only selling my work to viewers like you, I have decided to enter into this years competition. This will be the first art competition I have ever applied for and I hope it will not be the last. Please return to this page often as it will be updated with new pictures and information about the event.
The painting I am creating is called: Praising the Creation of Immaculate Conception.
It is a painting that has both, my commercial style art work (3D paintings) as well as my professional style. In the background of the painting is where you will find mountains in 3D, as they appear to rise of the canvas. There will also be a city within the some of the mountains, you will be able to see the people and waterfall as if you could reach out grab the them.
The front image will have my created tree dancing creatures. It will also have other creature that I have created over the years called tribe dancers. The color will be like those you see in my other paintings
What is Art Prize?
It is an open contest between artist. The winner is determined by public vote..

What's the Prize?
1st place: $250,000.00
2nd place: $100,000.00
3rd place: $50,000.00
4th thru 10th place: $7,000

9/29 -Top 10 announced
10/6-Winner announced
Voting
The audience votes - yes, the reference to American Idol has come upÑand the artist with the most votes takes the $250,000 prize. The vote turns everyone from passive observer into active participant. We like that.
Register & Activate Anyone 16 years of age or older with an email and valid government ID can vote. There is no charge for voter registration.
Register Online
- Each voter must have an individual email address
- Register online and save time activating your voter status at the event
- Want to do it in person? Visit a registration site at the event
- Online registration starts September 7, 2011
Activate at the Event
- All voters must activate their voting status in person at the event (it's only fair)
- Present a valid government issued ID at a registration site
- ID can be drivers license, other state ID or passport
- Activate your status anytime from September 21 - October 5
Voting Rules
- Week 1 Voting - All Artists Voting begins September 21, 2011
- Vote up or down on each artist
- You cannot vote more than once for the same work
- Results can be viewed online
- Week 1 voting ends 11:59PM, September 28
- 10 finalists announced Thursday, September 29
Week 2 Voting - Top 10, ONE vote
- Voting begins after announcement of the Top 10
- You have only ONE vote during Week 2
- You may only vote among the Top 10
- You may change your vote until voting ends
- Results are concealed during Week 2
- Week 2 voting ends 11:59PM, October 5
- Winners announced Thursday, October 6
